Training and Coaching

I offer bespoke training and coaching sessions around an aspect of SEND that is important to you and your family or staff team. Training or information sessions can help you to embed new actions or approaches and can support staff teams to use consistent approaches. Training and coaching sessions can be agreed following an initial visit or discussion or can be commissioned as one off pieces of work.

All training delivered is bespoke and tailored to meet your specific needs. Training can be delivered virtually or in person and to a range of audience sizes.

Areas that could be covered include;

Early interaction and communication

• Intensive interaction - developing early interaction, communication and engagement skills

• Using social routines to develop early communication and interaction skills

• Using a total communication approach

• Using visuals to support receptive and expressive communication

Analysing difficult and/or dangerous behaviours

• Using educational consequences to decrease difficult and dangerous behaviours

• Using tools and paperwork to analyse and usefully record behaviours and responses

Using play and playful approaches to learning

• Creating playful interactions in order to develop social and communication skills

• Supporting all pupils to learn through play

Social and emotional learning

• Creating trusting relationships, developing and using a trauma informed approach

• Developing emotional literacy and awareness through practical approaches

Coaching sessions can help you to embed new skills in your practice. It is a positive, evidence-based approach to promote growth and change. Coaching creates a learning space with opportunity to reflect on goals that matter to you.

All training costs will be agreed prior to any work starting and will be charged at £45 per hour including creation of materials, content delivery and coaching sessions.
